Editorial Standards & Disclosure

Work Smart, Not Hard publishes practical guidance for technology entrepreneurs, founders, and small teams. This page explains how content is selected, reviewed, updated, and funded.

Last updated: 19 September 2026

Editorial purpose

Our goal is to help readers choose better systems, use technology deliberately, build resilient businesses, and protect sustainable performance. Articles should solve a clear reader problem and provide steps, criteria, examples, or decision support—not merely repeat general advice.

Authorship and review

The site is operated by Didrik Martens, a Norwegian technology executive and entrepreneur. Content is reviewed for clarity, relevance, factual consistency, and usefulness before publication. Important factual claims should be supported by primary sources, official documentation, recognised research, or clearly identified expert sources where practical.

Tools, comparisons, and recommendations

Product and service coverage is based on the reader’s use case, capabilities, limitations, pricing or plan information available at the time of review, and practical selection criteria. Rankings are not guaranteed to fit every organisation. Readers should verify current terms, security requirements, and pricing with the provider before purchasing.

AI-assisted work

AI tools may assist with research organisation, outlines, language editing, formatting, or quality checks. They do not replace editorial responsibility. Material claims and recommendations are reviewed before publication, and content is not intentionally presented as first-hand testing unless such testing took place.

Health and wellbeing content

Founder-health articles are educational and are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Readers should seek qualified professional help for personal health concerns or urgent symptoms.

Advertising, affiliates, and commercial relationships

The site may display advertising, including Google AdSense. Some pages may contain affiliate links or discuss companies with which the publisher has a commercial relationship. When a link or article creates a material commercial connection, it should be disclosed clearly near the relevant content. Advertising or affiliate compensation does not buy a favourable editorial conclusion.

Corrections and updates

Technology, pricing, and evidence change. We review priority articles periodically and update dates when material revisions are made. If you spot an error or an outdated claim, email didrik@work-smart-not-hard.tech with the page URL and supporting information.
